— A cool grid-based portfolio website for a video production house
French creative production house Atck have a really cool portfolio site — with stunning animation and transitions, and loads of thought put in to the little details and hover effects.
The page loads with a visible grid layout that persists across the entire site experience, with everything fitting into the panels nicely.
The home page shows full-screen previews of their featured work, with info in one panel and a 'next' button in the bottom right to progress.
Playing a video fills up the screen, with key credits and interface controls placed around it — it's really nice that they built their own custom video player to make it fit in with the style just right.
The screen fills up with mini red panels as you move between pages — a super cool and fluid load / transition effect.
The list of Directors mixes up the grid a bit, with the director names placed more randomly, and a looping sequence of work images when you hover.
The About page is again nicely laid out into the grid, and has some cool quirks — try clicking the video game emoji to generate a random ATCK acronym!
