Chimdi's portfolio site really stands out in the sea of boring, run-of-the mill portfolios — he's done something really different here.
The main page of his site is a well-executed scrolling 'timeline', inviting you to spend the day with him, the clock on the right progressing as you scroll down the page.
As you scroll down the page, the background scene transforms from night to dawn, and day to dusk.
You learn little personal details about Chimdi as you scroll through the page, with a scrapbook-feel arrangement with hand-drawn elements and sticky notes.
The main projects are presented nicely with a hero image and quick summary.
There's also space for his side projects and blog posts, showing some more free-form stuff.
The page ends back to night-time, with a strong call to action to get in touch.
The project case studies are clearly presented, with a nice bold image and title at the top...
... and a good mix of supporting text, thumbnails, videos and full-screen visuals to show the work involved.
