— This has got to be one of the coolest portfolio websites ever

Mat Voyce's portfolio website is jaw-droppingly cool — packed with incredible animated typography, fun micro-interactions and a fantastic animated flow between pages and states.

His showreel video expands as you scroll past the title, bringing it into focus.

Next up there's a featured work carousel, with the title exploding outwards to make way for the project titles and snippets.

The 'what he does' section is really nice, with the background and illustrations changing fluidly as you scroll through each piece of text.

I love the huge contact button, deliciously animated as you hover.

The footer of the site shows off his skills again — with the 'making type move' animating on a loop.

Even the menu goes hard on the animated type, with each item having it's own unique hover effect.

The Work page features an interesting scroll effect, with the project title and client name scrolling different ways, and the preview image in the center.

Each case study is brought to life with a video showreel and nice grid layout to show off his work.

When you reach the bottom of a case study, continuing to scroll automatically transitions you into the next project... nice!

The Personal work section mixes it up nicely, with a thumbnail grid that you can pan around by moving the cursor.

The About and Media pages round this off nicely, with more fun illustrations — I particularly enjoyed the 'sprinkling' of icons as you move the cursor around the Media page.
